A new round of casting for the live-action remake of "Beauty and the Beast" has just been announced.

Joining Emma Watson as Belle will be one of her "Harry Potter" co-stars, Emma Thompson, who has signed on to play Mrs. Potts. Kevin Kline also joins as Belle's father. They join previously announced actors Luke Evans as Gaston, Josh Gad as his bumbling sidekick LeFou and Dan Stevens of "Downton Abbey" as the Beast.

Alan Menken, who wrote all of the music for the original 1991 film, is on board to score the movie, which will feature the original film's songs and several new songs.

McCarthy's weight loss

Melissa McCarthy, who has lost about 50 pounds, looked slim and trim and was the talk of the South by Southwest festival in Austin, Texas, over the weekend. McCarthy, 44, told Good Housekeeping last year that her weight loss is the result of playing tennis and doing Pilates and following a high-protein diet.

The actress was there to promote her new film "Spy," which premiered Sunday at South by Southwest. In the comedy, she plays a deskbound CIA analyst who gets drafted for a mission to nab a deadly arms dealer. Jason Statham, Jude Law and Rose Byrne co-star.
