6. African-American history
In honor of the 150th anniversary of the U.S. Colored Troops who went on to become Buffalo Soldiers (African-Americans who fought against American Indians), the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Birthday Celebration Committee of Nassau County presents a play about Buffalo Soldier Cpl. Noble Lofton and his experiences with slavery, freedom and the 10th Cavalry.
