The actress who recently played vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin in HBO's "Game Change" may play President Alma Coin in the final two "Hunger Games" films, according to reports.

Moore, 52, is said to be under consideration by the studio, Lionsgate, and director Francis Lawrence to play the role in the two-part adapation of Suzanne Collins' novel "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay." In the book, President Coin heads the district where Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence) is battling the fascist Capitol government.

Moore would be the latest critically revered actor to join the blockbuster franchise. The cast has already included Donald Sutherland, Stanley Tucci and Philip Seymour Hoffman (who appears in the next film).

"The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1" is expected to arrive in theaters Nov. 2014.
