Justin Bieber overtakes Lady Gaga as most-followed person on Twitter

Watch your back, Gaga. Justin Bieber may be the most popular person in the universe -- or at least the Twitterverse.
The teen pop icon recently bested Lady Gaga to become the most-followed person on the social media platform, the tweet-tracking tool Twitaholic reports.
As of Monday, Bieber (@justinbieber) had 33,938,371 Beliebers following him, compared with Lady Gaga's (@ladygaga) 33,766,160 Little Monsters. Gaga had held the No. 1 spot on Twitter since August 2010, when she ousted Britney Spears, who has fallen to No. 6.
