Franklin Square's Jenni "JWoww" Farley made her only Long Island appearance Friday night to sign copies of her new dating book, and most of the hundreds of fans who turned out were not even old enough to date.
They bought an estimated 400 copies of "The Rules According to JWOWW" at Book Revue, one of the Huntington store's owners said. After all, Farley's first, very adult-oriented book was their golden ticket to meeting the "Jersey Shore" star in person.
On line was Isabelle Salvi, 8, of East Quogue. Her father, Joe, drove Isabelle and her sister, Sabrina, 14, to see the reality TV star. "She's very pretty," said Isabelle as she stood on line outside in the blustery cold.
"She's amazing . . . funny . . . a good person," said Sabrina, shivering with excitement.
"I'm going to look at the book before they read it," promised Joe, 45, an attorney, explaining that he finds the behavior on the MTV show to be "deplorable."
Farley, who turns 26 Sunday, arrived a little after 7 p.m. through the back entrance to wild youngish cheers of, "I love you!" and "You're beautiful." Customers began arriving at 10:30 Friday morning to secure a space on line to get a "JWOWW!" signature in pink marker, including Sheena Aviles, 34, a Land Rover service manager from Glen Cove.
Aviles was there first, but she didn't camp out all day for the kids - she's as much a groupie as they are.
"I love when they go out to party," she said. "I love the drama. I love when they pick up guys."
Despite the untamed partying on the show, many said that Farley is a role model, bringing offerings such as jewelry, art and T-shirts to show their devotion. "I started taking kick-boxing after watching her," said Gianna Nemeh, 13, of Dix Hills. "She's tough and independent."
