There has to be something in the Smith family's water because they are on fire. Jaden Smith, aka Little Willie, earned a whopping $3 million, according to SodaHead for his starring role in the 2010 “Karate Kid” movie remake.
This is not the biggest income for a child star, but it is a nice lump sum for a 12-year-old on the rise. Smith, a son of blockbuster actors Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith, was paid a cool $1 million for the film and then the studio gave him another $2 million as a bonus, according to Monsters and Critics.
We can all take a lesson out of his book.
Jaden Smith is most certainly not to be outshined by his 10-year-old sister, Willow, who won the Most Viral Dance award for her popular hit “Whip My Hair” at the MTV O Music Awards on April 29.
Jaden Smith is scheduled to star in the sequel to "The Karate Kid" that is set for a 2013 release. If all goes well, Smith can stand to earn a mere $5 million, according to SodaHead reports. (Am I in the wrong profession?)
All of the other child stars should watch out because Smith is going full speed ahead.
