Karrueche Tran, Chris Brown split; Brown posts video about Rihanna

Singer Chris Brown has broken up with model Karrueche Tran over his renewed friendship with his ex.
“I have decided to be single to focus on my career,” Brown, 23, said in a statement Thursday. “I love Karrueche very much but I don’t want to see her hurt over my friendship with Rihanna. I’d rather be single allowing us to both be happy in our lives.”
Brown and singer Rihanna, 24, have recently been seen together publicly, including at one of Jay-Z’s Barclays Center concerts.
On Thursday, Brown posted a video about the situation titled “The Real Chris Brown."
"You know, when you share a history with somebody, then you tend to fall in love with someone else, it's difficult,” he tells the camera in the grainy video, which is filled with images of him and Rihanna.
“Is there such a thing as loving two people?” he asks. “I don't know.”
Rihanna has been less vocal on their possible reunion, only tweeting:
“Ain't nobody bidness .?.?. But mine and my baby!”
Tran seemingly alluded to the split on her Twitter account as well, writing “All I'm saying is .?.?. You don't mess with people's genuine feelings. You just don't!”
The model later posted “Life moves on. So let's all.”
Brown remains on probation for his felony assault of Rihanna in 2009.
