The 21st season of CBS' "Survivor" will include a famous face, a Long Islander, and the show's second amputee among its 20 contestants. The players will be divided into two tribes according to age: the Espada tribe of over-40s and the La Flor tribe of 30-year-olds and younger. "Survivor: Nicaragua," shot near the Pacific coast town of San Juan del Sur, premieres Sept. 15.

The best-known of the group is Fox sportscaster and retired NFL coach Jimmy Johnson, who among his many pro and college championships led the Dallas Cowboys to victory in two Super Bowls. At 67, he's the second-oldest contestant, following "Survivor: Borneo" third-place finisher Rudy Boesch, 72 at the time. Also competing this season is female medical student Kelly Bruno, 26, the show's second amputee (the first was Chad Crittenden of "Survivor: Vanuatu").

And for reasons even beside his being a Long Islander, you'll want to keep an eye on real estate executive Daniel L. Lembo, 63, who counts a house in Water Mill among his three residences. Aside from that abode, he tells Newsday, "I live in Trump World Tower, at 845 First Avenue, and in Bal Harbour, Florida."

And he lives large, to hear him tell it. Piloting a Hummer from one steak house to another, the Bay Ridge, Brooklyn, born-and-bred Lembo in his audition video takes us to Peter Luger, Bobby Van's and the Palm Too, like latter-day Rat Packer. "I spend my days drinking martinis and playing around." He says he grew up "with all the bad boys, you know who I mean, I don't have to tell you . . . For me to go onto an island and beat up a couple of guys and eat a couple of bugs, there's no problem!"

Lembo manages properties for the Great Neck-based Majestic Property Management/Gould Investors LP, affiliated with the New York Stock Exchange firms BRT Realty and One Liberty Properties.

Divorced for 15 years, Lembo has two sons. "Matthew is partners with me in the real estate company," he says, and "Michael works with Applebee's restaurant" as "a manager."

Among the other contestants is Matthew "Sash" Lenahan, 30, a real-estate broker for Corcoran, who currently lives in Manhattan's Gramercy Park neighborhood.
