Marc Anthony walked out on an interview with a Spanish-language talk show Wednesday after declining to answer a reporter's questions about nude video footage of his wife, music star and "American Idol" judge Jennifer Lopez.
A Los Angeles judge that day had ordered the roughly 27 hours of home video, which contains some nudity, to be locked in a safe-deposit box. On Monday Lopez had obtained a temporary restraining order blocking its release.
Anthony, 41, was initially in lively spirits during an appearance on Univision's popular entertainment-news show, "El Gordo y la Flaca," until reporter Burma Rivers began inquiring about the video footage. The singer, being interviewed in his Manhattan office, turned stone-faced and repeatedly said in English, "Next question," before abruptly standing up and leaving.
Lopez won a legal round in Los Angeles Supreme Court Monday when Judge Ann Jones issued an injunction preventing the footage from being sold without Lopez's permission. The video originated with the singer-actress' first husband, Ojani Noa, to whom she was married from 1997 to 1998. He sold the footage to his present girlfriend, Claudia Vazquez of Covina, Calif., for $1, said E! News.
Both Noa and Vazquez have said they want to use the footage for film projects, according to the Beverly Hills Courier. Noa's would chronicle his rise from humble waiter to husband of a Hollywood star, while Vazquez's would be "a comedic parody of Noa's life," said the paper, quoting court documents.
For now, said E!, the footage will be stored at the City National Bank in Century City, Calif., with Lopez's attorney, Jay Lavely, in possession of the key.
