Today marks the three-year anniversary of the King of Pop's death, a day that sent fans and the music world into a frenzy, mourning the loss of Michael Jackson.

MJ, who was 50 years old when he died, is recognized by the Guinness Book of World Records as the highest-earning deceased artist. He also holds the record for the longest span of U.S. top 40 singles.

With hits like "Thriller" and "Beat It," Jackson's music impacted a generation, so it is no surprise that "Michael Jackson," "RIP Michael Jackson" and "RIPMJ" were major Twitter trends on Monday.

Jackson's daughter, Paris, 14, tweeted in memory of her father on the anniversary of his death.

"RIP Michael Jackson. Dad you will forever be in my heart," she wrote. "I love you."

The King of Pop's brother Randy Jackson also tweeted in his honor:

"3 years ago on this June 25th, my brother passed. I will be at FL from 11am-1pm today to visit him."

LaToya Jackson also posted about her younger brother's death:

"This Day was the day that lead to the demise of my little brother," she wrote. "'Michael We Love' May you RIP. Gone FAR To Soon."
