Alec Baldwin is at work on his first film projects since the fatal accidental shooting on the set of his Western "Rust" in October.

The Amityville-born and Massapequa-raised Emmy Award winner and Oscar nominee, 63, had said last month in an Instagram airport video that he was "about to go on a trip to go do a little job," without disclosing specifics.

On Wednesday, the trade website Deadline.com said it had confirmed Baldwin and his actor brother William Baldwin are shooting live-action sequences in two animated family features, "Kid Santa" and "Billie's Magic World," both directed by Francesco Cinquemani, whose 2015 science-fiction film "Andron” featured Alec Baldwin. The Italian news agency ANSA reported Tuesday that production on the two films had begun in Rome.

Neither of the Baldwin brothers have commented publicly.
