The movie, which is written, starring and directed by <a href="/topics//Seth_MacFarlane">MacFarlane</a>, tells the story of a farmer who backs out of a gunfight and loses his girlfriend -- potentially Seyfried's role -- but then learns how to handle a gun from a notorious outlaw's wife (<a href="/topics//Charlize_Theron">Charlize Theron</a>). Seyfried currently has another movie, the Linda Lovelace biopic "Lovelace," awaiting release.

 THE DEAL The 26-year-old star of "Transformers" will appear in this film by Lars Von <a href="/topics//Lars_von_Trier">Trier</a>, which was purchased by Magnolia Pictures earlier this week at the Berlin Film Festival, Deadline.com reports. The film, about a girl who recounts her sordid life to a stranger after he rescues her from a beating, reportedly features real sex scenes; its cast includes Charlotte Gainsbourg, Stellan Skarsgard, <a href="/topics//Jamie_Bell">Jamie Bell</a> and <a href="/topics//Christian_Slater">Christian Slater</a>. Von Trier, who has been talking about making a pornographic film for some time, also directed the controversial 2009 film "Antichrist." 
 THE MOVIE "How to Survive a Plague" 
 THE DEAL David France's documentary on the early years of the AIDS crisis focuses on the emergence of Act Up, the influential and sometimes controversial protest group formed by mostly HIV-positive participants, as well as its lesser-known offshoot, the Treatment Action Group, a research advocacy organization. Two of four local screenings this week will feature guest speakers from <a href="/topics//Long_Island,_NY">Long Island</a> Gay and Lesbian Youth. 
 INFO Screenings with guest speakers are Thursday night and Friday night at 7:30 at Plaza Cinema &amp; Media Arts Center, 20 Terry St., <a href="/topics//Patchogue,_NY">Patchogue</a>.
