Paramount Pictures is hoping to stir up some buzz for “Bumblebee” with advance screenings on Long Island this Saturday.

The movie, part of the $4 billion “Transformers” franchise, is the stand-alone story of Bumblebee, the little yellow car who sometimes grows into a massive warrior-robot. Hailee Steinfeld plays the girl who discovers and befriends him.

Though “Bumblebee” isn’t due in theaters until Dec. 21, Paramount will play the film nearly two weeks in advance at 7 p.m. Saturday at theaters nationwide, including many on Long Island. Admission includes a ticket to the movie and a Transformers: Tiny Turbo Changers Movie Toy (while supplies last, of course).

Paramount has a history of offering sneak previews and special ticket packages. The studio teamed with Warner Bros. for screenings of Christopher Nolan’s “Interstellar” two days before its official release in November 2014; it also issued “Super Ticket” or “Mega Ticket” packages for “Anchorman 2,” “World War Z” and “Transformers: Age of Extinction” that included such extras as digital downloads, concessions and merchandise along with early screenings.
