THE DEAL The actor's production company, Infinitum Nihil, will partner with Walt Disney Studios to produce two movies, according to The Wrap. One is "The Night Stalker," based on the 1972 ABC-TV movie that became a series in which a Chicago newspaperman investigates mysterious, sometimes paranormal events; the other is a version of the Paul Revere tale to be written by Lee and Janet Batchler ("Batman Forever"). Depp and Disney already are closely acquainted, thanks to their successful "Pirates of the Caribbean" franchise.
THE EVENT Summer Sunday Classics Surf Program
THE DEAL Montauk fashion photographer Bruce Weber helped choose several surf movies that will be shown outdoors on the East End with a barbecue and cocktail hour before each screening. The films include Herbie Fletcher's unreleased "Supernatural" (playing Sunday), about the art of aerial surfing, and John Milius' 1978 cult classic, "Big Wednesday" (Aug. 7), starring Jan-Michael Vincent.

THE MOVIE "Cherry Blossoms"
THE DEAL Dorris Dorrie's 2008 film, in which an elderly married couple takes what may be their last vacation together, was a favorite of the late Vic Skolnick, who co-founded Huntington's Cinema Arts Centre, and will be screened this weekend to commemorate the one-year anniversary of his death. A reception will include the installation of a plaque near the venue's recently planted cherry tree.
