John Travolta, Idina Menzel reunite at Oscars 2015, share creepy moment

In introducing John Travolta Sunday night, Oscars host Neil Patrick Harris garnered one of his few genuine laughs of the three-hour ceremony. "Benedict Cumberbatch," the host said. "It's what you get when you ask John Travolta to introduce Ben Affleck."
Cue Idina Menzel, who referred to Travolta as "Glom Gazingo." Or something that our spellcheck is equally afraid of.
Travolta, of course, famously mangled Menzel's name at last year's Academy Awards, introducing her as "Adele Dazim" before she sang "Let it Go" from "Frozen."
As Menzel and Travolta stood onstage together Sunday, they joked about how each would be trailed by the mispronunciation for all of time.
"It's not like it's going to follow me around for the rest of my life," Menzel said, to which Travolta responded, "Yeah, tell me about it."
And while the famous flub of 2014 generated a viral flurry, it's likely that Travolta's grabby hands will become the takeaway of 2015.
Even Harris had to comment, later in the show, on "all that face touching." Because Travolta looked as if he was trying to mold clay when his hands lingered for an uncomfortably long time on her cheeks.
As Travolta moves from the verbal to the physical, maybe we -- and Syosset native Menzel -- should prepare for some sort of emotional distress courtesy of Travolta at the 2016 ceremony.
