THE DEAL The star of ABC's "Scandal" is in talks to join this upcoming Warner Bros. thriller about a man whose current wife is menaced by his former wife, Variety reports. The director is Amma Asante, one of the few black women in her field, whose previous film was the critical hit "Belle," about a mixed-race aristocrat in the 18th century. The script is by newcomer Christina Hodson.
WHO James Bond
THE DEAL England's Pinewood Studios is scheduled to announce the title and cast of the 24th James Bond movie this morning, according to Deadline.com. Sam Mendes ("Skyfall") will return to direct Daniel Craig as Agent 007 in the film -- currently dubbed "Bond 24" -- but little else is known about it. The announcement is to be live-streamed on 007.com at 6 a.m. Production on "Bond 24" begins Monday.
THE MOVIE "Amira & Sam"
THE DEAL Martin Starr (TV's "Freaks and Geeks") plays an Iraq War veteran who returns home to New York City and begins a relationship with an immigrant woman (Dina Shihabi). Sean Mullin's debut feature kicks off this winter's Furman Film Series, which runs through Feb. 5.
