Matt Damon has confirmed he will return to star as Jason Bourne for a fourth time in the espionage action-movie franchise. "Well, [Damon's] going to be doing a Bourne movie next fall," Ben Affleck told E! News at an HBO event for Affleck and Damon's filmmaking reality show "Project Greenlight." "Yes, next year," Damon responded when E! asked for clarification. "It'll be in 2016 when the movie will actually come out. But [director] Paul Greengrass is going to do another one and that's all I ever said. I just needed him to say yes." Damon starred in three Bourne movies from 2002 to 2007, with Jeremy Renner starring as a different character in 2012's "The Bourne Legacy."
