Michael Moore’s surprise new movie about Donald Trump’s presidential campaign will begin a one-week run in New York City on Wednesday.

Little is known about the movie, titled “Michael Moore in TrumpLand.” A press release distributed to journalists and critics Tuesday afternoon described the film as a “hilarious one-man show, deep in the heart of TrumpLand just weeks before the 2016 election.”

Although “Michael Moore in TrumpLand” is being touted as “the film Ohio Republicans tried to shut down,” few outside Moore’s circle seem to have known that the director — whose polarizing political movies include “Fahrenheit 9/11” and “Sicko” — was working on a Trump-themed project.

“Michael Moore in TrumpLand” will play a sneak preview Tuesday, with Moore in person, at 9:30 p.m. at the IFC Center, 323 Sixth Ave., Manhattan; ifccenter.com. Tickets will be free, with a two-ticket limit per person.
