It's the story of a black lesbian teenager, Alike (pronounced ah-<a href="/topics/Lee_%28designer%29">LEE</a>-kay, and played by newcomer Adepero Oduye), struggling with her identity in Brooklyn's middle-class <a href="/topics/Fort_Greene%2C_Brooklyn">Fort Greene</a> neighborhood. "Pariah" won a cinematography award at the <a href="/topics/Sundance_Film_Festival">Sundance Film Festival</a>. Producer Nekisa Cooper will appear in person at a screening Saturday at 7:30 p.m. as part of a series honoring African American History Month.
