WHO Kirsten Dunst
THE MOVIE "Bachelorette"
THE DEAL The "Spider-Man" star is set for a prominent role in this indie comedy produced by Will Ferrell and Adam McKay, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Dunst and Lizzy Caplan ("Hot Tub Time Machine") will play two of three friends (the third is not yet cast) who are invited to be bridesmaids for a woman they called "Pigface" (Casey Wilson, of ABC's "Happy Endings") in high school. The low-budget, $3-million film, which began as an Off-Broadway play, aims to begin shooting this summer but will likely change its title, perhaps to avoid confusion with the ABC reality show.
WHO Peter Ford
THE MOVIE "The Blackboard Jungle"
THE DEAL The son of Glenn Ford, who starred with Sidney Poitier in this 1955 juvenile delinquency classic, will be on hand for a screening and to sign copies of his biography "Glenn Ford: A Life." Ford will also speak about his genealogical roots, discovered recently at Old Bethpage Village Restoration.
INFO Monday at 7:30 p.m. at Cinema Arts Centre, 423 Park Ave., Huntington. Tickets are $13. 631-423-7611; cinemaartscentre.org.
WHO Byron Janis
THE DEAL The 83-year-old concert pianist, known for his renditions of Chopin (and for unearthing two of that composer's long-lost waltzes in 1967), comes to Long Island to perform several pieces following a screening of the hourlong documentary "The Byron Janis Story." He will also sign copies of a memoir chronicling his otherworldly adventures, "Chopin and Beyond: My Extraordinary Life in Music and the Paranormal."
