THE MOVIE “Bill & Ted Face the Music”

THE DEAL Reeves and his co-star Alex Winter will reprise their roles as the marginally educated time-travelers Ted Theodore Logan and Bill S. Preston, Esq., in the threequel to their 1989 hit “Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure.” In this episode, the two Wyld Stallyns bandmates have reached middle age, yet still have not written the greatest song of all time. Another journey into the future brings them in contact with “a new crop of historical figures, and some sympathetic music legends,” according to an announcement by the production company Bloom. The film will be written by original creators Chris Matheson and Ed Solomon and directed by Dean Parisot.

THE DEAL The star of “Basic Instinct” will play an egotistic CEO in a new comedy that begins shooting in New Mexico this summer, Deadline reports. Written by Sam Bain and directed by Patrick Brice, the movie tells the story of a corporate team-building retreat that spirals into a struggle for survival. Stone, who co-stars with Ed Helms and Jessica Williams, plays the boss of an edible-cutlery company called Incredible Edibles.

THE MOVIE “Bel Canto”

THE DEAL The Oscar winner will star in the film version of Ann Patchett's bestseller which has been acquired by Screen Media, Variety reports. Moore plays a famed opera singer who heads to South America to perform at a Japanese mogul's birthday party and soon finds herself embroiled in the midst of a hostage crisis. demanding the release of their imprisoned comrades. Ken Watanabe, Sebastian Koch and Christopher Lambert co-star and Renee Fleming will contribute vocals to the film which will be helmed by Paul Weitz.
