THE MOVIE "The Hunger Games"

THE DEAL Tickets for one of the year's most hotly anticipated films will go on sale Feb. 22, more than a month before the release date of March 23, according to the studio, Lionsgate. The film, based on Suzanne Collins' wildly popular young-adult novel -- the first in a trilogy -- stars Jennifer Lawrence and Josh Hutcherson as teenagers competing in a lethal reality show in a dystopian future; Lenny Kravitz, Alexander Ludwig ("Race to Witch Mountain") and Liam Hemsworth (brother of "Thor" actor Chris) round out the cast. Tickets will be available through Movietickets.com and Fandango.com.

THE MOVIE "The Love We Make"

THE DEAL The legendary documentarian ("Gimme Shelter," "Grey Gardens") will speak at a screening of this new film, which follows Paul McCartney's efforts to organize the post-9/11 Concert for New York City. Shot in black and white, the movie features David Bowie, Eric Clapton, Mick Jagger, Jay-Z, Billy Joel, Elton John and many other musicians and celebrities.

THE MOVIE "Newlyweds"

THE DEAL The latest independent film from Valley Stream native Ed Burns kicks off the winter's Furman Film Series. Reportedly made on a shoestring budget of $9,000, it stars Burns and Caitlin Fitzgerald as a young couple whose lives are disrupted by the arrival of his younger sister, played by Bishé (of TV's "Scrubs"). Bishé will be there for the screening.
