Movie buzz: New frights from 'Twilight' and Colin Farrell
THE MOVIE "The Twilight Saga: Eclipse"
THE DEAL Tickets for the third installment of the teen vampire saga, set for release June 30, will go on sale Thursday at midnight through Fandango.com and MovieTickets.com, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The long lead time is becoming increasingly common: "Avatar," "Sex and the City" and the previous "Twilight" movies all went on sale several weeks in advance. "Fans have an insatiable appetite to see their beloved characters," says Fandango spokesman Harry Medved. "It's like getting tickets to the prom."
WHO Colin Farrell
THE MOVIE "Fright Night"
THE DEAL In other vampire news, Farrell will be showing some fang in this DreamWorks remake of the 1985 horror film, Deadline.com reports. The role of a charismatic but potentially undead neighbor was originally played by Chris Sarandon (ex-spouse of Susan). Farrell is also set to star in the New Line Cinema comedy "Horrible Bosses," directed by Seth Gordon ("Four Christmases"). The movies mark a return to the mainstream for Farrell, who has lately been choosing smaller roles ("Crazy Heart") or offbeat projects like "In Bruges."
