New ‘Snatched’ trailer shows Amy Schumer, Goldie Hawn on wild vacation
Two trailers are now available for “Snatched,” the upcoming comedy starring Amy Schumer and Goldie Hawn. We’ve posted the relatively clean version here, though you can find the NSFW version elsewhere on the web.
Schumer and Hawn play a recently dumped daughter and her stuck-in-a-rut mother who decide to take a vacation in South America. The movie looks likely to focus on Schumer’s persona as a libidinous but insecure single woman (one local man says her “poofy face” should protect her from sexual predators), while Hawn plays the lovable dingbat, a role she perfected in the hits “Private Benjamin” and “Foul Play.” The two women are eventually kidnapped, as you might guess from the film’s title, and the trailer suggests the captors quickly regret their choice.
“Snatched,” whose title was announced by Schumer via Twitter earlier this week, is the Rockville Centre-raised actress’ follow-up to her 2015 rom-com “Trainwreck” and also marks the first screen role for Hawn in 15 years. Hawn, 71, was last seen in the comedy “The Banger Sisters” (2002) with Susan Sarandon.
“Snatched” is written by Katie Dippold (this year’s “Ghostbusters”) and directed by Jonathan Levine (“50/50”). It arrives in theaters Mother’s Day weekend of 2017.
