A new trailer for “X-Men: Apocalypse” offers a few new angles on the film, including a look at the size (big) and texture (weird) of Oscar Isaac’s evil mutant Apocalypse.

Michael Fassbender’s Magneto and James McAvoy’s Charles Xavier seem to be back on the same team — note Magneto’s look of concern as Apocalypse creates his obedient cult of personality — while Evan Peters as Quicksilver appears to get a little more screen time than he did in 2014’s “X-Men: Days of Future Past.” Sophie Turner plays the young Jean Gray, whose dreams of a doomsday prophecy may well be real.

This trailer also seems to have a little more of Jennifer Lawrence as Mystique, here in Katniss Everdeen mode as she calls upon her fellow mutants to join her in war.

“X-Men: Apocalypse” is due in theaters May 27.
