THE MOVIE “Vengeance: A Love Story”
THE DEAL The actor will step into the director’s chair to replace Harold Becker on this crime drama based on a Joyce Carol Oates novella, Deadline.com reports. Becker reportedly left after hearing that the film’s budget had been cut by $1 million. Cage plays a Niagara Falls Police detective investigating a rape case that has repercussions for three generations of women. It will mark Cage’s second directing effort in almost 15 years after the little-seen “Sonny.” Filming is scheduled to begin in early April in Atlanta.

THE MOVIE “Anon”
THE DEAL The actress will star opposite Clive Owen in a futuristic thriller, according to Variety. “Anon” stars Owen as a detective in a crime-free society where privacy and anonymity are notions of the past. Seyfried plays a woman whose identity is a mystery to authorities. “Anon” will reunite Seyfried with director Andrew Niccol, who cast her opposite Justin Timberlake in 2011’s “About Time.”
THE MOVIE “Margarita, With a Straw”
THE DEAL This comedy-drama from directors Shonali Bose and Nilesh Maniyar is based on a true story and focuses on a teenage Punjabi girl with cerebral palsy who discovers a new world when she is accepted to New York University. It screens as part of ReelAbilities, an annual disabilities-themed film festival.
