Mat Whitecross’ documentary on the British rock band Oasis has secured several new distribution deals, according to Variety.

The untitled film, which was introduced to buyers at the American Film Market earlier this month, has negotiated deals for release in at least 10 countries, including Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Germany, Italy and Thailand. The film has already been purchased for distribution in the U.K. by eOne/Lorton.

Noel and Liam Gallagher, the brothers who spearheaded the group and rode it to worldwide fame in the 1990s, are said to have granted extensive interviews and access to Whitecross, whose credits include the Ian Dury bio-pic “Sex & Drugs & Rock & Roll,” starring Andy Serkis.

Oasis’ album “Definitely Maybe” became the fastest-selling debut in U.K. history. The group established itself as one of the defining acts of the so-called Britpop era and sold an estimated 70 million albums. The Gallagher brothers, famous for a public and very vocal sibling rivalry that occasionally turned physical, broke up the band in 2009.
