Oliver Stone's 'JFK' back on big screenOliver Stone's political thriller "JFK" returns to theaters this week to commemorate the 50th anniversary of President John F. Kennedy's assassination, Newsday's Rafer Guzmán reports. "JFK," starring Kevin Costner, left, as a New Orleans district attorney investigating the president's death, will screen Sunday and Wednesday at 250 theaters around the country, including Farmingdale Stadium 10, Stony Brook 17 and Westbury Stadium 12. The screenings coincide with an elaborate home-video package from Warner Bros., "JFK 50 Year Commemorative Ultimate Collector's Edition," which went on sale Tuesday for $59.99. The set includes Stone's 1991 film, a television episode for Showtime that Stone directed about the late president, plus documentaries from other filmmakers.
