Robert De Niro reunites with David O. Russell, Jennifer Lawrence for Joy Mangano film
Robert De Niro will reteam with "Silver Linings Playbook" director David O. Russell and star Jennifer Lawrence in the upcoming "Joy," about Long Island single mom turned multimillionaire inventor Joy Mangano. "I am going to do something with them. I am going to play a father," De Niro, 71, told reporters in Rome Monday at a screening of the HBO documentary about his own father, "Remembering the Artist: Robert De Niro, Sr." Lawrence announced in May that she will play Mangano, of Nissequogue, a divorced mom of three living in Smithtown in 1989 when she first began finding success with her invention, the Miracle Mop.
