Disney and Twitter will team up for a live streaming event based around advance footage of “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.”

The event, which starts Friday at 1 p.m., will stream from a surprise location and will include a live discussion with cast members Felicity Jones, Diego Luna, Donnie Yen, Riz Ahmed and others, along with director Gareth Edwards and Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy. The conversation will be moderated by JD Heyman, deputy editor of People magazine.

Viewers can access the stream at RogueOne.twitter.com, in Twitter Moments and through @StarWars and @people.

The announcement comes days after Disney released a new trailer for “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story” to coincide with the sale of advance tickets. Online ticketing websites reportedly experienced half-hour slowdowns due to demand, and Fandango later reported selling hundreds of thousands of tickets “within minutes of going on sale.”

“Rogue One,” the first stand-alone film in the new “Star Wars” franchise, stars Felicity Jones as a loner named Jyn who joins the Rebel Alliance to steal the plans for the Death Star. The film is scheduled to begin playing in theaters Thursday, Dec. 15, though its official release date is Friday, Dec. 16. “Rogue One” is currently predicted to earn $130 million during its opening weekend.
