One thing's for sure: It won't be the last movie to use <a href="/topics//Spring_Break">spring break</a> as its backdrop. Here are six others: 
 WHERE THE BOYS ARE (1960) -- The film that solidified <a href="/topics//Spring_Break">spring break</a> in the American consciousness, this coming-of-age comedy starring Connie <a href="/topics//Connie_Francis">Francis</a>, Paula Prentiss, Yvette Mimieux and Dolores Hart helped turn Fort Lauderdale into Spring Break Central for a couple of decades -- and its unexpectedly mature story of premarital sex and date rape was analyzed by no less than <a href="/topics//Camille_Paglia">Camille Paglia</a> in her essay "It's a Jungle Out There." Then there's Francis' hit title song!

 FROM JUSTIN TO KELLY (2003) -- This time capsule from the 2000s, starring "<a href="/topics//American_Idol">American Idol</a>" season 1 winner <a href="/topics//Kelly_Clarkson">Kelly Clarkson</a> and runner-up <a href="/topics//Justin_Guarini">Justin Guarini</a> as meet-cute spring-breakers, won the Golden Raspberry Awards' "Worst 'Musical' of Our First 25 Years." 
 <a href="/topics//Spring_Break">SPRING BREAK</a> SHARK ATTACK (TV movie 2005) -- Exactly what it sounds like. The only question is why this schlock ran on CBS and not Syfy. <a href="/topics//Kathy_Baker">Kathy Baker</a> and <a href="/topics//Bryan_Brown">Bryan Brown</a> are the grown-ups among the kids. And it did inspire the name of the Baton Rouge band Spring Break Shark Attack! (with exclamation point).

It's no "Slumber Party Massacre" (1982) or "Sorority House Massacre" (1986).
