The writer and director is Carmine Cangialosi; the motorcycles will come from 20th Century Cycles, the Oyster Bay gallery owned by <a href="/topics//Billy_Joel">Billy Joel</a>, who is a consulting producer on the film. Shooting is set to begin in September.

According to The <a href="/topics//Hollywood_Reporter">Hollywood Reporter</a>, Lutz will play an aspiring sports journalist and <a href="/topics//Camilla_Belle">Camilla Belle</a> ("When a Stranger Calls") is in negotiations to play a female quarterback who falls for him. <a href="/topics//East_Meadow,_NY">East Meadow</a>-raised Rachel Diana and screenwriter Kim Rocco Shields will produce through their company, WingSpan Pictures.

 THE DEAL This futuristic thriller, which reteams writer-director Rian Johnson with his "Brick" star, <a href="/topics//Joseph_Gordon-Levitt">Gordon-Levitt</a>, will open this year's <a href="/topics//Toronto_International_Film_Festival">Toronto International Film Festival</a>, which runs Sept. 6-16. It's an unusual choice for the festival's opening slot, which tends to go to Canadian films, but <a href="/topics//Joseph_Gordon-Levitt">Gordon-Levitt</a> is enjoying a new level of stardom with his major part in the summer blockbuster "The Dark Knight Rises." In "Looper," he plays a time-traveling hit man sent to kill an older version of himself, played by <a href="/topics//Bruce_Willis">Bruce Willis</a>. It's set for release Sept. 28.
