Sony cancels 'The Interview' release; Rob Lowe, Jimmy Kimmel, more celebrities react

On Wednesday, Sony Pictures Entertainment took the unprecedented step of canceling the Dec. 25 release of the Seth Rogen/James Franco comedy "The Interview," about a CIA assassination attempt on North Korean leader Kim Jong Un.
The cancelation came shortly after the largest multiplex chains in the country (Regal, AMC and more) began pulling the film from their screens, and after threats of terrorist attacks from hackers who have shaken Sony Pictures in recent weeks by leaking emails and other information from the film studio.
A U.S. official said Wednesday that federal investigators have now connected the Sony hacking to North Korea and may make an announcement in the near future.
