Per statistics provided by the box-office reporting service Box Office Mojo, the 25 films that have achieved the highest-grossing opening weekends each earned more than $120 million. Such success is not only happy news for the studios that released these movies, but it also helps in the decision-making process toward deciding how long a film stays in theaters.
