Faye Dunaway, Warren Beatty to present Oscars best picture again, report says

Warren Beatty and Faye Dunaway will return to the Oscars Sunday as presenters of the best picture award, according to TMZ.

The two screen legends became briefly infamous last year when they announced the musical “La La Land” as the winner of the top Oscar, only to find that the award was supposed to go to “Moonlight.” The error, it turned out, was a mix-up on the part of the accounting firm PricewaterhouseCoopers, which handles the winning envelopes.

TMZ reports that, in rehearsals, Beatty and Dunaway reprised their roles, this time with intentional comedy. “Presenting is better the second time around,” Dunaway said, before Beatty announced: “The winner is ‘Gone with the Wind.’”

Beatty has also poked fun at his role in the mix-up by appearing in a promotional spot for the Oscars with two-time host Jimmy Kimmel, who poses as the actor’s therapist.
