Singer-actress Zendaya reportedly has been cast in Sony and Marvel Studios’ upcoming Spider-Man reboot.

Deadline.com reported Monday that the 19-year-old former Disney Channel star and 2013 “Dancing With the Stars” competitor will play a character named Michelle.

In comics published in 2009 and 2010, attorney Michele Gonzales was the roommate, and in at least one instance bedmate, of Spider-Man’s alter ego, Peter Parker.

However, the currently untitled film, starring Tom Holland as the web-swinging Marvel superhero, takes place during a teenaged Parker’s high-school days. Marisa Tomei already has been cast as Peter’s Aunt May.
