Adele sets 6 Madison Square Garden shows

Adele has scheduled six nights at Madison Square Garden as part of her “25” North American tour, which opens in St. Paul, Minnesota, on July 5.
Tickets for the Madison Square Garden shows on Sept. 19, 20, 22, 23, 25 and 26 go on sale at 10 a.m. Thursday through Ticketmaster.
The tour was announced just as her first full concert in four years, taped last month at Radio City Music Hall, was scheduled to air Monday night on NBC.
Adele’s tour, her first in North America since 2010, accompanies her record-setting “25” album, which has sold 5.2 million copies in its first three weeks, according to Nielsen SoundScan. Her tour is to start in Europe early next year.
Meanwhile, Adele performed her hit single “Hello” Sunday on the British “X Factor” for her first-ever performance on the show, reports Billboard.
“I’ve honestly been waiting, like, half my life to do this,” said Adele, who also debuted a new short bob haircut, said. “I’m so excited to be here.”
