Get your dancing shoes on for this one, and make sure they are Converse.
The video for "DoYaThink," the new collaboration among Gorillaz, LCD Soundsystem's James Murphy and OutKast's Andre 3000, hit the Internet last week (see it here: converse.com
/doyathing). Directed by Gorillaz's co-creator Jamie Hewlett, the video and tune are part of Converse's "Three Artists. One Song" series, which -- as the name implies -- throws three musicians together to create an exclusive track for the athletic shoe maker (known for that rock and roll Chuck Taylor model). Another song in the series is "All Summer," by Kid Cudi, Vampire Weekend's Rostam Batmanglij and Best Coast.
"We didn't exchange any ideas at all [beforehand]," Murphy told Billboard last month. "Damon was basically saying, 'Let's just get in a room,' which, even if it wasn't Damon Albarn, is a pretty convincing argument, really. To be honest, I was worried that I should prepare something, but went with it anyway."
And went with it they did. The club-ready song's video uses CGI versions of the artists in a somewhat scary London flat: There's a bowl of ears in the kitchen and a couple of guys collecting buckets of sweat in a shower. Don't ask, just watch. And maybe dance.
