Anthony Green's 'Beautiful Things'

Circa Survive frontman Anthony Green has always had a voice that you could pick out of a crowd, higher-than-most with a sweetness cut with danger. On his solo album "Beautiful Things" (Photo Finish), Green makes the most of it, dropping it into all sorts of musical situations -- from triumphant alt-rock ("Can't Have It All at Once") to a cappella folk ("Do It Right") to space-reggae ("When I'm on Pills"). He handles it all with ease, helping all these divergent styles hang together to create a unique, beautiful thing.
