"The Voice" top-20 finisher Bella DeNapoli, of West Islip, on Tuesday released her debut album, "Three Letters."
"Three years in the making!!!," the 23-year-old singer-songwriter wrote on Instagram. The half-hour album's 10 songs each have three-letter titles, most of them internet abbreviations such as "brb" ("be right back") and ily ("I love you"). A music video for the single (titled with a three-letter phrase that contains an expletive) is scheduled to follow on May 17, shot by videographer Tom Flynn at Glen's Dinette in Babylon, the bowling alley Ultra Lanes in Massapequa, and Dream Car Restorations in Hicksville. The singer's sister, Taylor DeNapoli, served as creative director.
Pop star Ariana Grande, on whose "Voice" team Bella DeNapoli competed last year, wrote on Instagram Stories, "This incredibly talented human @belladenapoli just dropped her album." DeNapoli has seven performances March 19-22 at The Montauk Music Festival, at venues including Gurney's and The Montauk Beach House, as well as a gig at Manhattan's Kobrick Coffee Co. on May 26. She is the daughter of local cover-band singer Nanci-jean DeNapoli and guitarist Tom DeNapoli, who make up the duo Fine Wine, front the six-piece Beernutz, and own and operate the electrical contracting firm KND in Deer Park.
