Let the mosh pit for Broadway tickets begin!

Green Day’s Billie Joe Armstrong will make his Broadway debut in “American Idiot,” the musical he composed and co-wrote, this week as the mysterious St. Jimmy.

Armstrong’s stint begins tomorrow and runs through Sunday, as he fills in for Tony Vincent, the original Broadway St. Jimmy, as he takes a leave of absence for family reasons. After his Broadway run, Armstrong will immediately head to Caracas, Venezuela, where Green Day is launching its South American tour.

Vincent is set to return Oct. 12, with understudies Joshua Kobak and Andrew Call covering the role next week.

Tickets are $49-127 through Telecharge, 212-239-6200, or telecharge.com or at the St. James Theater box office. (There were still some available the last time we checked.)
