Billy Joel will extend his record-breaking monthly residency at Madison Square Garden, with his 25th show in the run on Jan. 7.
Tickets for the concert go on sale at 10 a.m. on Nov. 20 through Ticketmaster. Citi cardholders can purchase pre-sale tickets starting at 10 a.m. Monday.
Joel, who became MSG's first musical franchise in December 2013, breaks his own records for longest run and most performances at the arena each month. The January concert will be his 71st at the Garden.
Information on whether there will be further shows at MSG has not been released. In previous years, additional shows were put on sale following the demand for the initial show.
"I'm planning on staying as long as the tickets sell," Joel told Newsday this summer, when he broke the Garden record of 65 concerts. "It's funny because I'm waiting to get kicked out. Aren't they going to run out of people eventually?"
However, Joel's shows have been selling out months in advance, and the Hicksville native has said he does not expect the birth of daughter Della Rose, who turns 3 months old on Thursday, to affect his run at the Garden. Joel said he has been enjoying the shows there too much.
"The band is really kicking now and it's so tightened up," he said. "It's like driving a big Cadillac. It's got 12 cylinders and it feels great. . . . It's the best job in the world."
