Billy Joel sets 85th show of his MSG residency for November

Billy Joel fans will have an 85th reason to be thankful on Thanksgiving eve when the Long Island legend returns for his 85th monthly residency concert at Madison Square Garden.

General-public tickets for the Nov. 23 show go on sale June 24 at 10 a.m. via Ticketmaster.com. Presale tickets will be available 24 hours prior with the code SOCIAL. This is the Piano Man's 131st concert overall at the storied arena.

Joel, who performs at Notre Dame Stadium in Indiana on June 25 and at Comerica Park in Detroit on July 9, has sold out his July 20 and Aug. 24 Garden shows, according to his website, with tickets remaining available for the Sept. 9 and Oct. 9 concerts.

The Hicksville-raised Rock & Roll Hall of Famer, 72, who has homes in Sag Harbor and Centre Island, has won five Grammy Awards plus a Grammy Legend Award, a Kennedy Center Honor, the Library of Congress' Gershwin Prize for Popular Song, and has been inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame and the Long Island Music Hall of Fame.
