Billy Joel is returning to Madison Square Garden, where he holds the record for most sold-out shows in a single run with 12.
Joel will headline The Garden on Jan. 27 – his first full concert there since he set the record in 2006. Tickets are $64.50-$124.50 for the show and go on sale at 10 a.m. Saturday through Ticketmaster. Citi Private Pass cardholders can buy pre-sale tickets starting at 10 a.m. Wednesday.
It does not appear that Joel will be breaking his record this time out, with The Garden schedule already packed with Knicks and Rangers games, as well as other concerts.
In December, Joel will be honored by the Kennedy Center, the nation’s highest award for performers. He recently completed a sold-out tour of the United Kingdom and Ireland, which he prepared for with a surprise sold-out show at The Paramount. He is set to play the Barclays Center in Brooklyn on New Year’s Eve and has lined up a string of dates in Florida in January. It is not clear whether Joel will launch a full-scale American tour next year.
