SiriusXM's occasional Billy Joel Channel will return for the month of October.

The satellite-radio network said the channel, running Oct. 1-30, is returning to coincide with the theatrical release of the documentary "Live at Yankee Stadium." It will again showcase the "BJ the DJ" series, in which Rock & Roll Hall of Famer Joel plays some of his favorite songs and offers personal commentary. Episodes include "Artists I Wish I'd Seen Live," "Songs I Wish I'd Written," "Billy's Favorite Keyboard Players" and "3-Instrument Bands." There additionally will be episodes of track-by-track songs for each of his studio albums, as well as four episodes of "What Was I Thinking?," in which the Hicksville-raised Joel reveals stories behind the songs.

Playing on channel 105 and on the SiriusXM app, the station will also include "The Stranger Fantasy Concert," "The New York State of Mind Special," "The Around the World Special," the listener-voted "88 Key Cuts" countdown, and an encore of SiriusXM's live "An Evening of Questions and Answers" from 2019. Among the guest DJ shows are country music star Garth Brooks, Joel's cabaret-singer daughter Alexa Ray Joel, and Don Henley of the Eagles.
