Bon Jovi, Brad Paisley to play free shows to aid Gulf Coast
One of the best ideas in music this year came from Jimmy Buffett, who decided to help tourism in the Gulf Coast, reeling from the BP oil spill, by throwing a free concert in Gulf Shores, Ala.
Simple? Sure, but the July concert brought in 35,000 fans for the weekend, filling the local hotels, restaurants and stores. Bon Jovi and Brad Paisley announced free concerts for the weekend of Oct. 15 to keep up the momentum.
Free tickets for the Bon Jovi show on Oct. 15 and the Paisley show on Oct. 17 will be available through the area’s hotels starting today. Check out concertsforthecoast.com for more information.
