Dave Matthews Band set for Jones Beach

Dave Matthews Band, after taking last year off from touring, will hit the road this summer, including a two-night stop June 12 and 13 at the Nikon at Jones Beach Theater.

Instead of the massive outdoor festivals and stadium appearances of recent tours, this time out DMB will mostly be doing multiple nights in amphitheaters. The tour kicks off May 18 in Woodlands, Texas, and runs through Sept. 9 in Mountain View, Calif.

Tickets for the band's Jones Beach show go on sale to the public March 9 through Live Nation. Pre-sale for fan club members starts at 10 a.m. Thursday. Pre-sale for Citi credit-card holders starts March 5. Fitz and the Tantrums will open both nights.
