Rapper DMX was released from a hospital Tuesday after being revived from a near-death state the day before.
TMZ.com said Yonkers police had responded to a call around 6 p.m. Monday and found DMX, 45, born Earl Simmons, in the parking lot of a Ramada Inn, not breathing and without pulse. Police detective Lt. Patrick McCormack told The Associated Press paramedics performed CPR and administered an opioid-reversal medication, reviving him.
DMX’s attorney, Murray Richman, confirmed that the rapper, who has asthma, had stopped breathing, but the lawyer did not know the cause.
