Dreamy Incubus? Not now, please

Incubus has built its career alternating between the laid-back "Drive" and the aggressive, angst-ridden "Anna Molly." On "If Not Now, When?" (Epic), it seems like they've decided to give that a rest. This one is all dreamy and ponderous -- "No umbrellas, no sunglasses, hearing 'Hallelujah' every day," Brandon Boyd drawls out over several measures in the title track. The closest they get to some excitement is the modest, moderate single "Adolescents." It's not good that the only sign of urgency here is the title.
