Oh, you crazy Kidz.
Has "Kidz Bop" -- those collections of age-appropriate pop songs sung by young 'uns -- really been around for 10 years? Affirmative. And to celebrate the 11-million-selling series, the good people at Razor & Tie records will release "Kidz Bop 20," the latest compilation of inoffensive radio tunes redone by kids for kids (and their parents).
The newest collection, out Tuesday, continues to mine the nonprofane for the pre-"Glee" set. The series is "for kids who want to listen to pop songs and parents who may not want them to," co-creator Cliff Chenfield told the Los Angeles Times.
Included in the 16 covers are Lady Gaga's "Born This Way," Adele's "Rolling in the Deep" and a totally clean "Forget You" by recent "Voice" coach Cee Lo Green. Somewhat amusing is the inclusion of a couple of "real" youngsters' hits -- Willow Smith's "Whip My Hair" and "Never Say Never" by a tyke named Justin Bieber. Talk about handling songs with kid gloves.
